Yves Le Saux was born on December 24, 1960, in Hennebont (Brittany), in the Diocese of Vannes. After completing his classical studies, he attended the Catholic Institute in Paris for one year and then entered the Seminary of Autun as a member of the *Communauté de l’Emmanuel* (Emmanuel Community). He pursued philosophical and theological studies at the *Institut d’Études Théologiques* in Brussels, where he obtained a baccalaureate in theology. He was ordained a priest on June 22, 1986, in Autun, the diocese in which he is incardinated. He has held the following ministerial roles: chaplain at the Shrines of Paray-le-Monial; expert involved in the creation of the *École Internationale de Formation à l’Évangélisation* (EIFE) in Paray-le-Monial (1986–1992); Superior of the chaplains at the same Shrines (1992–1997); Episcopal Delegate for Family Ministry in the Diocese of Autun (1995–1997); and person in charge of the Emmanuel Community’s propaedeutic year at *Maison Saint-Joseph* in Namur, Belgium (1997–2002). Since 2002, he has been responsible for the priests, deacons, and seminarians of the same Community.
