Archbishop Andrew Nkea Fuanya

Andrew Nkea Fuanya was born on August 29, 1965, in Widikum, then in the Diocese of Buéa and now in the Archdiocese of Bamenda. After completing his primary education at Christ the King School in Tiko, he pursued his secondary studies at Bishop Rogan Minor Seminary in Buéa. He studied philosophy and theology at Saint Thomas Aquinas Major Seminary in Bamenda. He was ordained a priest on April 22, 1992, and incardinated into the Diocese of Buéa. Following his ordination, he held the following positions: 1992–1993: Parochial Vicar at St. John Bosco, Bonge; 1993–1995: Parish Priest at St. Luke, Nyandong; 1995–1999: Diocesan Secretary-Chancellor; 1999–2003: Doctoral studies in Canon Law at the Pontifical Urbaniana University, Rome; 2003–2007: Diocesan Secretary-Chancellor; 2007–2010: Professor and formator at Saint Thomas Aquinas Interdiocesan Major Seminary in Bamenda; since 2010: Member of the Doctrine Commission of the National Episcopal Conference, Judicial Vicar of the Ecclesiastical Tribunal of the Ecclesiastical Province of Bamenda, Secretary General of the Episcopal Conference of the Ecclesiastical Province of Bamenda, President of the Cameroon National Association of Canon Law, and Secretary General of the Catholic University of Cameroon.
