Bishop of Erexim
Adimir Antônio Mazali was born on May 16, 1966, in Corbélia, in the Archdiocese of Cascavel, in the State of Paraná. He pursued his philosophy studies at the Arnaldo Busato Faculty of Humanities in Toledo, Paraná (1986–1988) and his theology studies at the *Studium Theologicum* in Curitiba, Paraná (1989–1992). He subsequently obtained a Licentiate in Patristic Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome (1999–2001). He was ordained a priest on May 5, 1992, and incardinated into the Archdiocese of Cascavel, where he held the following positions: Spiritual Director of the São José Minor Seminary and Vocation Promoter (1992–1999); Parochial Vicar of Imaculado Coração de Maria in Cascavel, Paraná (1995–1996); Parish Administrator of Nossa Senhora de Caravaggio in Cascavel, Paraná (1996–1999); Administrator of the Diocesan Shrine of Nossa Senhora da Salette in Braganey, Paraná; Rector of the Major Seminary of Theology (2002–2009); Professor at the Interdiocesan Center of Theology in Cascavel, Paraná (2002–2004); Spiritual Director of the Propaedeutic Seminary (2005–2006); Professor (2005–2019) and Director (2009–2019) of the *Faculdade Missioneira do Paraná* (FAMIPAR) in Cascavel, Paraná; Parish Priest of Nossa Senhora de Fátima in Cascavel, Paraná (2009–2016); and Advisor for Family Ministry at both the archdiocesan and "Regional South 2" levels. Since 2016, he has served as Parish Priest of the Nossa Senhora Aparecida Cathedral in Cascavel.
