boys and girls are trained at the end of their 5th-grade year for assisting our Priests during Mass.

these vocalists assist the assembly in our hymn and acclamation singing. Each cantor brings a different level of vocal ability, but understands the function of cantor and is trained to help lead the community in sung prayer. Monthly training sessions are required.

parishioners provide attractive décor for all seasons of the Church year, including care of live plants.

this group of vocalists sings primarily at 10:00 a.m. Sunday Liturgy, but may rotate occasionally to other Liturgies. The choir generally rehearses once a week on Tuesday evenings. Members come with a variety of musical backgrounds, from those who have no formal training to those with Masters Degrees in Music.
Social Justice & Outreach
The Mission of the El Salvador Ministry is to promote solidarity and exchange between the St. Elizabeth Parish community and our sister communities in El Salvador, Romero Community and Palo Grand/Suchitoto. The Youth Scholarship and Formation Program is the centerpiece of our ministry’s efforts.

these ministers distribute the Body of Christ and the Precious Blood at Liturgy, after they have received Diocesan training and commissioning. Eucharist Ministers for the sick visit and distribute communion to the homebound and to nursing-home residents each weekend.

families and groups of parishioners bring forward the gifts of bread and wine and our contributions for the church and for the poor, during our weekend Eucharistic Celebrations.

these volunteers help create an environment that fosters a sense of belonging by welcoming each member to Sunday worship. Membership is open to interested parishioners who would welcome people with a sense of reverence and friendliness.

We have seen the great need for mental wellness in our society and we hope to serve both those who are suffering and their caregivers, break stigma surrounding mental health, and become a more inclusive community.

parishioners proclaim the Word of God at Liturgies. The Diocese provides training several times during the year.
Pro-Life
of St. Elizabeth celebrates the God-given dignity of all human life, from conception to natural death. We are dedicated to observing and promoting the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church on all life issues, including abortion, capital punishment, suicide, and assisted suicide, among others.
Social Justice & Outreach
is a ministry of lay volunteers who freely serve the poor by assisting in food drives, distributing food to those in need within our parish boundaries, and organizing Christmas gifts for those in need through the Christmas Stars adoption program.
Liturgical
men or women (age 14 years and up) work in teams to ready the church for Liturgy and gather the collection. Cordiality and service are major qualifications for this ministry. Every weekend Liturgy is in need of additional ushers, especially people willing to be substitutes.
