Bishop of Lugazi
The Rt. Rev. Christopher Kakooza was born at Nsambya Hospital on 15th of November 1952. His parents lived at Lusaze, Kyaddondo County, in now Mapeera Nabulagala Parish in the Archdiocese of Kampala. He was ordained a priest on 3rd June 1983 at St. Mbaaga’s Seminary Ggaba, by the late Emmanuel Cardinal Nsubuga. Appointed Auxiliary Bishop of Kampala Archdiocese on 30th January 1999 and consecrated on 17th April 1999 at Rubaga. Appointed Bishop of Lugazi Diocese on 4th November 2014 and installed on 3 rd January 2015.
