Bishop Antonio Prieto Lucena

Msgr. Antonio Prieto Lucena was born in La Rambla, Córdoba, on 13 January 1974. In 2002 he obtained a licentiate in theology of marriage from the Pontifical John Paul II Theological Institute in Rome, and in 2006 he was awarded a doctorate in moral theology from the San Dámaso Ecclesiastical University of Madrid. He was ordained a priest on 2 July 2000. He has held the following offices: vice rector and professor of Christology and Trinitarian Studies of the Seminario Conciliar San Pelagio; member of the Presbyteral Council and member of the clergy of the parish of San Isidro (2004-2007); member of the clergy in the Basilica of San Pedro Apóstol and director of the Higher Institute of Religious Sciences (2005-2007); rector of the Seminario Conciliar San Pelagio; professor of morality at the Theological Studium; lecturer at the San Dámaso University of Madrid; diocesan delegate for vocational pastoral care (2007-2018); member of the Theological Commission in collaboration with the Episcopal for the Doctrine of the Faith (since 2012); from 2018 to date, vicar general and parish priest in solidum of San Miguel Arcángel y la Merced in Córdoba.
