Bishop of Baní
Bishop Faustino Burgos Brisman, C.M., Bishop of Baní, was born on 15 February 1960 in San Francisco de Macorís, in the diocese of the same name. Having entered the novitiate of the Vincentian fathers in 1982, he was ordained presbyter on 30 May 1987. He subsequently obtained a licentiate in religious sciences in Santo Domingo, as well as three diplomas relating to the management and administration of educational centers and private schools. He also attended a spirituality course in Paris. He accumulated diversified ministerial experience, both in the parish sphere and as a formator in the seminary, as well as director of various educational centers of his congregation, always in Santo Domingo. He also had missionary experience in Haiti. From 2003 to 2015 he was provincial of his religious institute for the Antilles region for three terms. From 2015 until then he was provincial director of the Daughters of Charity of the Caribbean Region.
