Joseph Konnath was born in Vadasserika, Kerala, within the Archeparchy of Trivandrum, on May 13, 1952. He was ordained a priest on December 22, 1978. He obtained his doctorate from Kerala University. During his priestly ministry, he has held various positions, including Rector of the Minor Seminary, Cathedral Parish Priest, Professor of Economics at Mar Ivanios College in Trivandrum, and member of various councils within his Archeparchy. He currently serves as Principal of Mar Theophilos Teaching College and provides pastoral care for two missions in Trivandrum.
