Archbishop Valdomiro Koubetch

Valdomiro Koubetch was born on March 27, 1953, in the city of Mandaguaçu, in the State of Paraná. He completed his first-level studies at the "São José" Minor Seminary in Prudentópolis and his second-level studies at the *Studium* of the Basilian Order of Saint Josaphat in Curitiba. He pursued philosophy studies at the same *Studium* and theology studies at the Pontifical Athenaeum of Saint Anselm in Rome. He made his religious profession in the Basilian Order of Saint Josaphat on June 16, 1978, and was ordained a priest on December 6, 1981. He obtained a Baccalaureate in Theology from the Pontifical Athenaeum of Saint Anselm in Rome and a Doctorate in Moral Theology from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. Following his ordination, he held various pastoral roles: parochial vicar, parish priest, rector of the Basilian Fathers' Major Seminary, and professor at the OSBM *Studium* and the Claretian Fathers' *Studium Theologicum* in Curitiba. Appointed Coadjutor Bishop of the Ukrainian Eparchy of São João Batista in Curitiba on December 10, 2003, he was consecrated on March 21, 2004.
