Bishop Pierre Claver Malgo

Pierre Claver Malgo was born on September 14, 1954, in Dimistènga, in the parish of Gounghé, within the Archdiocese of Koupéla. He pursued his studies both in his home country and in Côte d’Ivoire at the Catholic University of West Africa (UCAO), where he obtained a Licentiate in Biblical Theology. He was ordained a priest on July 7, 1984, and incardinated into the Archdiocese of Koupéla. Following his ordination, he held the following positions: 1984–1987: Parochial Vicar at the Koupéla Cathedral; 1987–1991: Studies for the Licentiate in Biblical Theology at the Catholic University of West Africa (UCAO) in Côte d’Ivoire; 1991–1999: Professor at the Saint Pierre Claver Interdiocesan Major Seminary in Koumi; 1999–2000: Parochial Vicar in Ars-sur-Moselle, in the Diocese of Metz, France; 2000–2005: Parish Priest of Saint Joseph Ouvrier in Goughin; 2005–2011: Rector of the Saint Jean-Baptiste Interdiocesan Major Seminary in Ouagadougou.
