Bishop of Kole
Emery Kibal Mansong’loo, C.P., was born on June 28, 1969, in Kimputu, in the Diocese of Idiofa. After completing his primary (1981) and secondary (1987) education, he entered the Congregation of the Passionist Fathers in Kinshasa on September 5, 1988. He pursued philosophy studies at the Saint Augustin Institute in Kinshasa (1988–1991) and theology studies at Tangaza College in Nairobi, Kenya (1992–1997). He made his perpetual vows as a Passionist on July 31, 1998, and was ordained a priest on August 2, 1998, at Saint Thérèse Parish in Kinshasa. Following his priestly ordination, he held the following positions: 1998–1999: Parochial Vicar of the Holy Family (Sacra Famiglia) parish in Ototo, Diocese of Tshumbe; 1999–2002: Parish Priest of the Lumbi Catholic Mission, Diocese of Kikwit; 2002–2005: Studies for a Licentiate in Liturgy at the Pontifical Atheneum of Saint Anselm in Rome; 2005–2013: Provincial Superior of the Passionists (serving two consecutive terms); concurrently, a lecturer in Liturgy at various educational institutions in Kinshasa, including Saint Augustin University, the Saint Eugène de Mazenod Institute, and the Inter-novitiate for women's religious congregations; 2008–2013: President of ASUMA; 2011–2013: Member of the Board of Directors of the Catholic University of the Congo. Since 2013, he has resided at the Institute’s scholasticate in Kinshasa.
