Stane Zore, O.F.M., was born on September 7, 1958, in Sel pri Kamniku (Archdiocese of Ljubljana). He pursued his philosophical and theological studies at the Faculty of Theology in Ljubljana. On October 4, 1984, he made his solemn profession in the Order of Friars Minor. He was ordained a priest on June 29, 1985. Following his ordination, he held the following positions: parochial vicar, parish priest, rector of the national shrines of Brezje and Sveta Gora, guardian of various friaries, and novice master. From 1998 to 2004, he served his first term as Provincial Minister of the Province of the Holy Cross in Slovenia. He is currently serving his second term as Provincial Minister of his Order (since 2011) and is the President of the Conference of Religious Men and Women in Slovenia (KORUS).
