Bishop of Lokoja
Martin Dada Abejide Olorunmolu was born on August 30, 1948, in Ogiri-Kabba, Kogi State. He studied at the University of Ibadan, where he obtained a diploma in Religious Studies. He was ordained a priest on December 23, 1978, and incardinated into the Diocese of Lokoja. He studied in Cameroon, earning a diploma in Integrated Rural Development with a specialization in Training/Communication. In Yaoundé, he worked for a local radio station, coordinating a special news program. He obtained a doctorate in Biblical Theology from the Catholic Institute of West Africa (CIWA) in Port Harcourt. His roles have included: Parochial Vicar (1979–1980); Coordinator of Lokoja Diocesan Accounts and Social Welfare, as well as Military Chaplain for one year (1980–1983); Parish Priest in Kabba and chaplain to various lay associations (1982–1986); and Cathedral Administrator, Parochial Vicar, and Parish Priest in other parishes (1988–2000). Since 2000, he has served as a parish priest and a professor at CIWA.
