Bishop of Luebo
Rev. Pierre-Celestin Tshitoko Mamba was born on February 23, 1956, in Kolwezi. He began his primary education at the Nganza St. Thérèse parish school in the Archdiocese of Kananga and subsequently continued his studies at the Kabwe Minor Seminary. After completing philosophical studies at the Major Seminaries of Kabwe and Mbujimayi, he attended theology courses at the Malole Interdiocesan Seminary, concluding them with a Licentiate in Biblical Theology from the Catholic Faculties of Kinshasa. He was ordained a priest on August 22, 1982, and incardinated into the Archdiocese of Kananga. Following his ordination, he served in the following roles: 1982–1985: studies for the Licentiate in Biblical Theology at the Catholic Faculties of Kinshasa; 1985–1988: professor at the Malole Interdiocesan Theological Seminary (Kananga); 1988–1993: in Rome for a degree in Biblical Theology at the Urbaniana University; 1993–1994: secretary to the Archbishop of Kananga. Since 1994, he has served as Rector of the Kabwe Interdiocesan Philosophy Seminary (Kananga).
