Bishop of Maasin
Bishop Precioso Dacalos Cantillas, S.D.B., Bishop of Maasin, was born on July 3, 1953, in Langtad, Philippines, in the Archdiocese of Caceres. He is a member of the Salesians of Saint John Bosco. He was ordained a priest for the same institute on December 7, 1979. On May 31, 1995, he was appointed Titular Bishop of Vicus Caesaris and Auxiliary Bishop of Cebu. He received episcopal ordination on July 12, 1995, at Cebu City, with Ricardo Jamin Vidal as principal consecrator and Emilio Layon Bataclan and Leo Murphy Drona as co-consecrators. On January 20, 1998, he was appointed Bishop of Maasin. He was installed as Bishop of Maasin on March 11, 1998.
