Archbishop José Miguel Gómez Rodríguez

José Miguel Gómez Rodríguez was born in Bogotá on April 24, 1961. He pursued his philosophical and theological studies at the Major Seminary of Manizales. He obtained a Licentiate in Sacred Scripture from the Biblical Institute in Rome. He was ordained a priest on February 2, 1987, for the clergy of the Archdiocese of Manizales. As a priest, he held the following positions: Parochial Vicar of *La Inmaculada Concepción* in Aguadas, Delegate for University Pastoral Care, Parish Priest of Neira, Parish Priest of *La Inmaculada Concepción* in Salamina, Episcopal Vicar for the northern zone of the Archdiocese of Manizales, and Director of the Department for Catechesis and Biblical Pastoral Care at the Permanent Secretariat of the Colombian Episcopal Conference. On November 22, 2004, he was appointed Bishop of Líbano-Honda (Colombia). He received episcopal consecration on February 5, 2005. José Miguel Gómez Rodríguez was born in Bogotá on April 24, 1961.
