Bishop of Nellore
Doraboina Moses Prakasam was born on October 2, 1957, in Mariampuram, in the Diocese of Cuddapah. After attending village schools, he went to St. Joseph's High School in Mariampuram. He then attended the minor seminary in Cuddapah before moving to the new minor seminary in Vijayawada. He completed his philosophical and theological studies at the major seminary in Hyderabad. He was ordained a priest on April 7, 1983. He served as: parish priest of Kalaspadu (1983–1984); deputy director of the Pastoral Centre (1983–1984); youth chaplain (1984–1985); director of the Pastoral Centre (1984–1988); parish priest of Amagampalli (1988–1990); and a student in Europe (Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria) (1991–2000). Since 2001, he has served, among other roles, as Vicar General and Diocesan Consultor.
