Bishop of Nuevo Laredo
Msgr. Lerma Martínez was born on 21 July 1962 in Delicias, State of Chihuahua. He received his priestly formation in the Seminary of Chihuahua and obtained a licentiate in biblical theology from the Real y Pontificia Universidad de México. He was ordained a priest on 14 October 1993 for the same archdiocese. He has held the following offices: parish vicar; professor and formator in the major seminary; parish priest of various parishes; rector of the Cathedral and diocesan coordinator for the Safeguarding and Protection of Minors and Vulnerable Persons; and until now, vicar general of the archdiocese of Chihuahua, Mexico.
