Bishop of Odienné
Alain Clément Amiézi is Bishop of Odienné, Côte d'Ivoire. Alain Clément Amiézi was born on 28 September 1970 in Dimbokro in the Diocese of Bondoukou. In 1991 he entered the Society of African Missions (SMA) in Ebimpé, where he attended Philosophy courses and, at the end of the two-year period, continued theological studies at Sacro Cuore di Maria Major Seminary in Anyama. He was ordained a priest on 1 May 1999. He held the following roles: assistant parish priest of the cathedral and officer responsible for diocesan vocational pastoral ministry and communications media from 1999 to 2004; doctorate in Dogmatic Theology at the Pontifical Urbaniana University in Rome from 2004 to 2008; resident professor of Dogmatic Theology at the Major Seminary of Anyama, invited lecturer at the Université Catholique de l'Afrique de l'Ouest (UCAO), also teaching at the Theology Institute of the Society of Jesus and at the Catholic Missionary Institute of Abidjan from 2009 to 2021. From 2011 he was also executive secretary of the Commission for the Doctrine of the Faith of the Ivorian Episcopal Conference. From 2021 until the time of the source biography, he had been parish priest of Santa Odilla Cathedral in Bondoukou.
