Archbishop Luis Fernando Ramos Pérez

Luis Fernando Ramos Pérez was born in Santiago on January 2, 1959. Before entering the seminary, he obtained an engineering degree from the University of Chile. He completed his philosophical and theological studies at the Major Seminary of Santiago and earned a Doctorate in Theology, specializing in Sacred Scripture, from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. He was ordained a priest on May 5, 1990. Subsequently, he held the following positions: Prefect of Philosophy at the Major Seminary of Santiago (1990–1993), Parochial Vicar of the Cristo Emaús parish (1990–1993), Parochial Vicar of the Santo Toribio de Mogrovejo parish (1993), Official at the Congregation for Bishops (1999–2007), Episcopal Vicar for Education of the Archdiocese (2007), Rector of the Major Seminary of Santiago (from December 2007), and Episcopal Vicar for the Clergy (from 2011).
