Bishop of Rourkela
Kishore Kumar Kujur was born on January 6, 1964, in Gaibira, in the Diocese of Rourkela, Orissa. He graduated from Saint Francis de Sales College in Nagpur and entered the Minor Seminary of Sambalpur in 1980. From 1982 to 1984, he underwent the orientation program at St. John’s Regional Seminary, subsequently pursuing philosophical studies at St. Charles Seminary in Nagpur from 1984 to 1987. He completed his theological studies at the Khristo Jyoti Mohavidyaloyo Regional Theologate in Sason. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Arts, as well as a Licentiate and a Doctorate in Sacred Scripture. He was ordained a priest on February 7, 1993, and is incardinated in the Diocese of Sambalpur. Following his ordination, he held the following positions: 1993–1995: Assistant Parish Priest in Balangir; 1996–2000: Studies in Rome for the Licentiate at the Biblicum; 2001–2003: Professor of Sacred Scripture at the Regional Seminary of Orissa; from 2003: Person in charge of seminarians for the Diocese of Sambalpur; 2004–2006: Doctoral studies in Rome at the Angelicum; from 2007: Professor of Sacred Scripture at the Regional Seminary of Orissa; from 2010: Member of the College of Consultors; from 2010: Member of the Presbyteral Council.
