Archbishop of Samoa-Apia
Mosese Vitolio Tui, S.D.B., was born on November 9, 1961, in Apia, Samoa. He made his first religious profession in the Salesian Society of Saint John Bosco in 1987 and his perpetual profession on December 8, 1992. He was ordained a priest on December 3, 1994, becoming the first Samoan Salesian. He has held the following positions: local bursar and teacher in Alafua, Samoa (1995); local councilor in Oakleigh, Victoria, Australia (1996); local councilor, school administrator, and community vicar in Alafua (1997–2006); Rector and Novice Master in Suva, Fiji (2006–2009); Provincial Councilor for Australia-Pacific (2009–2015); Rector, school principal, and parish priest in Salelologa, Samoa (2009–2017); Rector and parish priest of St. Paul’s, Massey, in the Diocese of Auckland, New Zealand (2018–2022); Rector in Salelologa (2022–2023); and, since 2023, parish priest of St. Paul’s, Provincial Councilor, and Delegate for the Pacific.
