Cristiano Bodo is Bishop of Saluzzo, Italy. The Pope appointed Monsignor Cristiano Bodo, of the clergy of the Archdiocese of Vercelli, until then parish priest, episcopal vicar for pastoral ministry, and moderator of the curia of the same archdiocese, as Bishop of the Diocese of Saluzzo. Monsignor Cristiano Bodo was born in Vercelli on 30 July 1968. At 12 years of age he entered the minor seminary; in 1993 he completed his studies with a baccalaureate; he holds a licentiate in theology from the Theological Faculty of Northern Italy in Padua; and in 2014 he obtained a doctorate in theology with a thesis on the permanent diaconate. He was ordained a priest on 29 May 1993. He held the following offices: private secretary to Bishop Mensa and then to the then Archbishop Bertone from 1991 to 1995; from 1993 to 1999 parish priest at SS. Annunziata in Motta dei Conti (VC); from 1994 to 1996 administrator of the parish of Saint Anthony in the Isola district of Vercelli; from 1996 to 1999 parish priest at Saint Mary of Graces in Candia Lomellina (PV) and rector of the parishes of Terrasa (PV) and Mantie (VC); from 1996 to 1999 vice-rector of the major seminary of Vercelli, director of the diocesan vocations center, and responsible for altar servers of the archdiocese; from 1998 to 1999 parish administrator of Cozzo Lomellina (PV); vicar general of the Diocese of Vercelli from 2007 to 2015; member of the regional secretariat for vocation ministry in Piedmont from 1998; director of the Office for Preadolescents and Children of Vercelli from 1999; parish priest of Blessed Virgin Assumed parish in the Cappuccini district (3000 inhabitants) from 1999; from 2000 diocesan ecclesiastical assistant of FUCI; chaplain of the Vercelli events committee; archiepiscopal delegate for youth ministry; from 2001 diocesan assistant of ANSPI; from 2002 archiepiscopal delegate for the world of sport (CONI), episcopal consultant of C.S.I., and episcopal delegate for university ministry; from 2003 diocesan officer for the cultural project (CEI) and spiritual assistant of U.S. Vercelli Calcio; from 2005 episcopal vicar for the youth world; from 2007 Prelate of Honor of His Holiness; and from 2015 episcopal vicar for pastoral ministry. In addition, he is a member of the pastoral and presbyteral council of the archdiocese, diocesan economic coordinator, moderator of the curia, and officer for ecclesiastical cultural heritage. He is the author of several publications of a pastoral and catechetical character.
