Bishop of Sicuani
He was born in the district of Cotaparaco, in the province of Recuay, department of Áncash, on November 14, 1975. He received his priestly formation at the "San Jerónimo" Archdiocesan Seminary in Arequipa, where he completed his ecclesiastical studies. He was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Arequipa on November 17, 2005. He holds a Licentiate degree in Moral Theology from the "San Dámaso" Ecclesiastical University in Madrid and has completed a Master's degree in Bioethics at the University of La Rioja (UNIR) in Spain. He also holds diplomas in the Social Doctrine of the Church from "Finis Terrae" University in Chile and "Lumen Gentium" University in Mexico. Within the Archdiocese of Arequipa, he has served as parish priest for the parishes of "Beata Sor Ana de los Ángeles" and "Santa María de la Cabeza" in Cerro Colorado (2006–2014), "Nuestra Señora del Rosario" in Sabandía and "Santa Ana" in Mollebaya (2017–2021), and "Cristo Obrero" in Miraflores (2022–present). He has held the positions of Chaplain at the "Instituto Superior Pedagógico Público de Arequipa" (2008–2013), Vicar Forane of Deanery IX (2017–2022), and member of the Presbyteral Council (2011–2014 and 2021–present).
