Tomás Alejo Concepción was born on June 15, 1963, in Santa Ana, Villa Tapia, in the Diocese of La Vega. He studied Philosophy and Theology at the Santo Tomás de Aquino Pontifical Seminary. He obtained Licentiate degrees in Philosophy and Theology from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra in Santo Domingo and studied Missiology at the Universidad Intercontinental in Mexico City, Mexico. He was ordained a priest for the Diocese of La Vega on August 7, 1993. As a priest, he has served as Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies, Parochial Vicar, Founder and Director of the Politécnico Arzobispo Juan Antonio Flores Santana, Director of the Diocesan Liturgy Office, and Vicar for Administration of the Diocese of La Vega. Until now, he has served as Pastor of the Nuestra Señora de Fátima parish.
