Bishop Pablito Martinez Tagura

Bishop Pablito Martinez Tagura, S.V.D., Vicar Apostolic of San Jose in Mindoro, was born on January 15, 1962, in Philippines, in the Prelature of Bangued. He entered the Society of the Divine Word on June 6, 1980, and made his first profession on June 6, 1982, and made his perpetual profession on May 31, 1988. He was ordained a priest for the same institute on December 17, 1988, in Abra. On December 17, 2022, he was appointed Vicar Apostolic of San Jose in Mindoro. He received episcopal ordination on February 17, 2023, with Luis Antonio Gokim Tagle as principal consecrator and Charles John Brown and Gilbert Armea Garcera as co-consecrators. He was installed as Vicar Apostolic of San Jose in Mindoro on February 25, 2023. He is a member of Society of the Divine Word.
