Bishop Michael (Micae) Phạm Minh Cường

Michael Pham was born on January 27, 1967, in Da Nang, Vietnam. After earning a bachelor's and a master's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, he pursued ecclesiastical studies at Saint Patrick Seminary in Menlo Park. He was ordained a priest for the Diocese of San Diego on June 25, 1999. He has held the following positions and undertaken further studies: Parochial Vicar at Saint Mary Star of the Sea in Oceanside (1999–2001); Vocation Director (2001–2004); Pastor of Holy Family (2004–2014), Saint Therese (2014–2016), and Good Shepherd in San Diego (since 2016); and a Licentiate in Evangelization from Sacred Heart Seminary in Detroit (2020). Since 2017, he has served as Episcopal Vicar for ethnic communities and, since 2018, as Vicar General.
