Bishop of Saint John's-Basseterre
Robert Llanos was born in Trinidad on February 2, 1958. He entered the priesthood later in life, having previously worked as a bank official. He completed his philosophical and theological training at the Regional Major Seminary in Port of Spain. He also received vocational formation and guidance from the Living Water Community. He was ordained a priest on June 23, 1991, and incardinated into the Archdiocese of Port of Spain. Following his ordination, he held the following positions: 1991–1993: Parish Administrator in Arima; 1993–1996: Parish Priest in Gran Couva; 1996–1997: Parish Priest in Princess Town; 1997–2000: Parish Priest in Carapichaima; 2000–2002: Licentiate in Pastoral Counseling at Loyola University, Maryland, USA; 2002–2010: Lecturer and Vice-Rector of the Regional Major Seminary in Port of Spain, Vicar for Family Ministry, and psychological guide/counselor for priests, religious, and laypeople of the Archdiocese; since 2011: Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Port of Spain.
