Ricardo Ernesto Centellas Guzmán is Archbishop of Sucre, Bolivia. He was born in Suquistaca, Camargo, in the department of Chuquisaca and the Archdiocese of Sucre, on 7 November 1962. He was ordained a priest on 11 August 1988. From January 1989 to April 1991 he served as parish vicar in the parish of San Juan Bautista in Padilla. From 1991 to 1993 he studied in Rome at the Pontifical Gregorian University, obtaining a licentiate in spiritual theology. After returning to the diocese, he began working at San Cristobal Seminary as a member of the formation team. From 1996 to 2003 he served as rector of the same seminary. Appointed auxiliary bishop of Potosí on 30 June 2005, he received episcopal consecration on the following 15 September.
