Bishop of Tulle
Éric Nicolas Bidot, O.F.M. Cap., is Bishop of Tulle, France, and has served at Tulle since 2025. He was born on 12 May 1971, was ordained a priest on 29 June 2007, was appointed bishop on 15 April 2025, and was consecrated bishop on 15 June 2025. His formation included public law at Université Paris V, René Descartes, and studies at the Facultés Loyola de Paris. His ministries included vicar of the convent of Clermont-Ferrand and parish ministries (2006 - 2009); guardian of the convent of Clermont-Ferrand (2009 - 2015); provincial vicar of the Saint Bonaventure Province of France (2012 - 2015); provincial minister of the Saint Bonaventure Province of France (2015 - 2024); president of the Conference of Capuchins of North-West Europe (2019 - 2023); and accompanier of Capuchin student friars in Paris and leader of spiritual retreats, sessions, and conferences in monasteries or religious communities, for diocesan priests and for lay people (2024 - 2025).
