Bishop Włodzimierz Roman Juszczak, O.S.B.M., Bishop of Wrocław-Koszalin (Ukrainian), was born on July 19, 1957, in Legnica, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, Poland. He entered the Basilian Order of Saint Josaphat (Order of St. Basil the Great) on August 31, 1976, and made his perpetual profession on June 18, 1978. He studied at Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw. He was ordained a deacon on May 8, 1983. He was ordained a priest for Basilian Order of Saint Josaphat on May 28, 1983, in Legnica. On April 24, 1999, he was appointed Bishop of Wrocław-Koszalin (Ukrainian). He received episcopal ordination on June 19, 1999, at Wrocław, with Jan Martyniak as principal consecrator and Wasyl Ihor Medwit and Michael (Michel) Hrynchyshyn as co-consecrators. He is a member of Basilian Order of Saint Josaphat.
