Diocese of Yei

Alex Lodiong Sakor Eyobo was born on January 26, 1971, in Wudu (Diocese of Yei). He entered St. Mary’s Minor Seminary in Juba (1989–1993) and attended St. Paul’s National Major Seminary for philosophy and theology studies, obtaining a diploma (1996) and a baccalaureate (2000). He was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Yei on June 24, 2001. Following his ordination, he held the following positions and pursued further studies: Parochial Vicar at Sacred Heart Parish, Lomin, Kajo Keji (2001–2002); Diploma in Computer Science at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa, Nairobi, Kenya (2002–2003); Secretary General of the Diocese of Yei (2002–2006); studies in financial management and administration at CORAT Africa, Nairobi, Kenya (2006–2007); Secretary General, Diocesan Treasurer, and Coordinator of Communication and Education (2006–2008); Diocesan Youth Chaplain (2008–2013); Rector of St. Augustine’s Diocesan Minor Seminary in Yei (2013–2014); and Licentiate in Biblical Theology at the Urbaniana University in Rome (2014–2018). Since 2018, he has served as a formator, lecturer, and treasurer at St. Paul’s National Major Seminary in Juba.
