Bishop Herculano Medina Garfias, Bishop of Ciudad Guzmán, was born on November 27, 1967, in Rincón de Cedeños, Mexico, in the Diocese of Morelia. He was ordained a deacon on August 13, 1995. He was ordained a priest for Morelia on February 15, 1996, in Costado de Catedral. On December 1, 2015, he was appointed Titular Bishop of Gegi and Auxiliary Bishop of Morelia. He received episcopal ordination on February 25, 2016, at Morelia, with Alberto Suárez Inda as principal consecrator and Christophe Louis Yves Georges Pierre and Carlos Suárez Cázares as co-consecrators. On May 4, 2024, he was appointed Bishop of Ciudad Guzmán. He was installed as Bishop of Ciudad Guzmán on July 18, 2024.
