Jesus’s parable of the Good Samaritan shows that knowledge of religious law does not by itself produce love. While the priest and Levite pass by a dying man, the Samaritan stops to help, revealing that genuine worship of God is inseparable from practical mercy. The audience is therefore challenged not to remain spectators amid hunger, violence, and injustice, but to serve those who suffer.
