The pastoral orientations call for an intercultural Church that receives diversity as a source of communion rather than division. Catholics are urged to reject nationalism and individualism in favour of a universal “we” that welcomes migrants and refugees as brothers and sisters. Encounters with newcomers become occasions to meet Christ and to receive their spiritual and cultural gifts, as the Church journeys together in a synodal spirit where all are valued as fellow pilgrims.
