The Dicastery for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments announces seven new invocations for the Litany of Saint Joseph, approved by Pope Francis to mark the 150th anniversary of Saint Joseph’s proclamation as Patron of the Universal Church. Drawing on aspects of Joseph’s life and the teaching of recent popes, the additions are to be translated and published by Episcopal Conferences. Diocesan bishops may also add culturally appropriate invocations for use in their own regions.
