Assist the priest and deacon at weekday funerals and occasionally weekend liturgies. Work in teams of two.

Sunday evening AA meeting (7 PM, Father Tulley Center) sponsored by St. Bede for over 40 years.

Assist at assigned liturgies on Sundays and Holy Days. Open to youth Grade 4 and up as well as adults. Training provided.

Boy Scout troop sponsored by St. Bede parish.

Plans and executes church decorating for liturgical seasons; cares for live plants in the Church throughout the year. Open to men and women.

Fundraising ministry making pierogis for the annual church Pierogi Dinner. Meets Wed mornings and Thu evenings for a couple months before the event.

Every Friday 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM in the Chapel (or outdoor pergola June-October, weather permitting). Sign up required; monstrance never left unattended.

Ministers serve at assigned liturgies; trained at Diocese-sponsored session; recommended by Pastor; also includes Ministry to the Homebound (weekly Eucharist to those unable to attend Mass).

Provides buffet luncheon for families after funerals. Has served St. Bede parishioners for over 45 years.

Welcomes and directs guests at funeral services and Masses; distributes programs and provides compassionate first point of contact.

Meets Saturday mornings at 9 AM. Grows flowers for parish grounds and vegetables for the Helping Hands Food Pantry and parish community. Raises funds for the general fund.

Supports bereaved families through funeral planning with pastor, GriefShare program, monthly grief support group (3rd Wednesday 2 PM), All Souls Memorial Mass in November, and bereavement follow-up.

Teams assigned one Thursday per month for 1-2 hours starting 9 AM to clean and dust the Chapel, Gathering Space, Church, and Library. Men and women welcome.

Three sub-ministries: (1) Pantry partnered with Cleveland Food Bank, Sat 9 AM-Noon by reservation; (2) Office Help Line Mon-Fri for housing/financial assistance; (3) St. James Food Kitchen every 6 Sundays/year. Also: Thanksgiving/Christmas Holiday Baskets and Angel Tree.

Charity sewing ministry. Volunteers knit, crochet, or quilt blankets and quilts donated to area hospitals including Cleveland Clinic NICU, Rainbow Akron Children's Hospital, and Hospice of the Western Reserve.

Active council of 80 members founded 2005. Supports seminarians, parish programs, pro-life causes (24-hour Rosary for the unborn), Deepwood Foundation, Lake County Right to Life, Project Hope, Red Cross. Annual fundraising for parish food pantry.

Lectors proclaim the Word of God at weekend liturgies. Readers are trained and scheduled monthly.

Prays daily for the needs of the parish and parishioners. Prayer line for urgent requests. Ideal for homebound individuals. No meetings.

Four choirs: Traditional Choir (9 AM Mass, Thu 7-8:30 PM rehearsals), Contemporary Choir (11 AM Mass, Tue 7:30-9 PM rehearsals), Children's Choir (monthly Mass, grades 3-8), Hand Bell Choir (Wed 7 PM as needed), Funeral Choir (weekday funerals).

Process for adults entering the Catholic Church. Weekly meetings Sep-May, Wed 7-8:30 PM. Culminates with reception of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist at Easter Vigil.

Christian initiation process for children.

Provides advice and counsel in administration of parish finances, including approval and monthly oversight of annual parish budget in cooperation with the Pastor and Business Manager. Meets monthly on Mondays at 7:30 PM. Members need recommendation of Pastor.

Assists the Pastor in developing plans and policies for the parish mission. Consultative body meeting 1st Wednesday of each month, 7-8:30 PM in the Library. All parishioners invited to attend.

Religious education program for children. PSR Secretary coordinates enrollment. PSR phone: (440) 257-6988.

Provides Sunday evening Communion service, Bible study, and weekly library service at the Lake County Jail. Accepts donations of lined loose leaf notebook paper.

Makes and sends rosaries to missions around the world. Meets four times a year on Sundays at 3 PM. Members primarily work at home. Welcomes both experienced and new makers.

Every 5 weeks, parishioners work at the St. James Soup Kitchen in Painesville helping prepare and serve a meal on Sunday mornings.

Ushers/Greeters provide a welcoming presence at weekend liturgies; assist with collection and seating. Open to men, women, and families.

Health, healing and wellness ministry. Monthly blood pressure screenings 1st full weekend of each month (8:45-9:45 AM and 3:45-4:15 PM). Referral source for health resources. Open to licensed RNs, LPNs, NPs, MAs, Paramedics and EMTs.

Monthly gathering for widows, widowers and senior singles on 2nd Saturday of each month at 11 AM (March-December). Social setting with speakers on timely issues.
