Msgr. Pedro Luis Fuentes Valencia, C.P., was born on 7 June 1968 in La Paz, in the civil department and archdiocese of the same name. Initially he belonged to the Identes Institute of Christ the Redeemer, where he began his studies in theology; he then entered the Congregation of the Passion of Jesus Christ in 1998, for which he was ordained a priest on 19 June 2004. He obtained a licentiate in dogmatic theology at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas in Madrid, Spain (2009). He has exercised his ministry at the parish of Ayo Ayo, prelature of Corocoro (2004-2006); and as deputy parish priest of Santa Gema, Madrid, Spain (2007-2010). From 2010 until the present he has served as parish priest of Señor de la Exaltación and since 2012 vicar forane of the Zona Sur of the metropolitan archdiocese of La Paz.
