Bishop of Caguas
Eusebio Ramos Morales was born in Maunabo, Puerto Rico, on December 15, 1952. He pursued studies in science and biology at the University of Puerto Rico, earning a bachelor's degree; he also took courses in philosophy and theology at the Central University of Bayamón, with the Jesuits in Mexico, at the Boynton Beach Seminary, and at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, where he obtained a Licentiate in Theology. Before entering the seminary, he was a teacher at the Maunabo high school. He was ordained a priest on June 3, 1983. He served as a parochial vicar (in Yabucoa and Aibonito), spiritual director and later rector of the Caguas seminary, pastor of the "Dulce Nombre de Jesús" parish in Humacao, and professor of dogmatic theology at the major seminary. He is currently the pastor of "Santísimo Redentor"—a major parish in Fajardo—and moderator of the Presbyteral Council of Caguas.
