Chaplain at the Zillisheim Episcopal College; parochial vicar at Altkirch (1993–1996). Period at the Discalced Carmelite monastery in Montpellier (1996). Director (1997–2000) then Superior of the Major Seminary of Strasbourg (2000–2008). Head of communications for the archdiocese (2007–2011). Auxiliary Bishop of Strasbourg (2008–2011). Bishop of Saint-Claude (2011–2020). President of the Episcopal Commission for Catechesis and the Catechumenate (2019–2022). Episcopal motto. Do whatever he tells you (Jn 2:5).
