Magisterium AI

How do I install Magisterium AI as a desktop app?

Magisterium AI works as a Progressive Web App (PWA), so you can install it on Mac, Windows, or Linux without going through an app store.

Install with Chrome or Edge (Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS)

  1. Open magisterium.com in Chrome or Edge.
  2. Look for the install icon in the address bar (a small monitor with a down arrow), or open the browser menu and choose Install Magisterium AI… / Apps → Install this site as an app.
  3. Confirm in the Install app? dialog. Magisterium AI opens in its own window and is added to your Applications / Start menu.

The install icon sits at the right end of the address bar:

A browser window at magisterium.com with the address bar visible at the top. A red arrow points to the install icon (a small monitor with a down arrow) sitting at the right end of the address bar, just before the star/bookmark icon. The Magisterium AI sidebar and chat home are visible in the background.

Click it and Chrome surfaces a confirmation dialog:

A Chrome 'Install app?' dialog anchored to the install icon in the address bar. The dialog shows the Magisterium AI app icon, the name 'Magisterium AI', the URL 'www.magisterium.com', and two buttons at the bottom-right: Cancel and Install. A red arrow points to the Install button.

On Windows, you can then launch the installed app from the Start menu:

The Windows Start menu search panel with 'magisterium ai' typed into the search box, the All filter selected, and a 'Best match' result showing 'Magisterium AI / App' with the Magisterium triangle icon — confirming the PWA is installed and launchable from Start.

Install with Safari (macOS 14+)

  1. Open magisterium.com in Safari.
  2. Go to File → Add to Dock… (or click the Share button and choose Add to Dock).
  3. Name it and confirm. Magisterium AI now lives in your Dock as a standalone app.

To keep the icon in your Dock permanently after you quit, right-click the Magisterium AI icon and choose Options → Keep in Dock:

A macOS Dock context menu opened over the Magisterium AI dock icon. The menu shows a checkmarked 'Magisterium AI' entry, an 'Options' submenu (expanded) listing 'Keep in Dock' (highlighted), 'Open at Login', 'Show in Finder', and Assign To options (All Desktops, This Desktop, ✓ None), plus 'Show All Windows', 'Hide', and 'Quit'. A red arrow points at 'Keep in Dock' and a second red arrow points at the Magisterium AI icon in the dock at the bottom.
