Appointment as Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of São Paulo: October 28, 2009. Episcopal ordination: December 27, 2009. Installation as Auxiliary Bishop for the Brasilândia Episcopal Region of the Archdiocese of São Paulo: February 6, 2010. Appointment to Barretos: November 5, 2014. Installation: December 21, 2014. Milton Kenan Júnior was born on November 24, 1963, in Taiúva, in the state of São Paulo. He completed his studies in philosophy and theology at the Study Center of the Archdiocese of Ribeirão Preto and subsequently obtained a Licentiate in Spiritual Theology from the Pontifical Institute of Spirituality "Teresianum" in Rome. He was ordained a priest on September 5, 1987, and incardinated into the Diocese of Jaboticabal. During his priestly ministry, he held the following positions: Parochial Vicar of the São João Batista and Nossa Senhora Aparecida parishes in Bebedouro (1987–1995); Parochial Vicar of the São Benedito parish in Jaboticabal (1997–2001); Diocesan Pastoral Coordinator and Episcopal Vicar (1997–2002); Director of the Nossa Senhora do Carmo Institute of Philosophy and Theology in Jaboticabal (2000–2004); and Parish Priest of the Nossa Senhora do Carmo Cathedral in Jaboticabal (2001–2008). Additionally, he served as a Professor of Spiritual Theology at the Study Center of the Archdiocese of Ribeirão Preto, Head of Presbyteral Ministry for the "Sul 1" Region of the Brazilian Bishops' Conference, Spiritual Director of the Diocesan Seminary of Jaboticabal, member of the Presbyteral Council and the College of Consultors of Jaboticabal, Diocesan Pastoral Coordinator (2007–2009), and Parish Priest of the Nossa Senhora Aparecida parish in Bebedouro (2008–2009). On October 28, 2009, he was appointed Titular Bishop of Acque di Bizacena and Auxiliary Bishop of São Paulo, receiving episcopal ordination on the following December 27.
