Deleting an organization (and transferring ownership)

Organizations can be deleted by the current Owner. Self-service ownership transfer is not currently available — contact us if you need to change the Owner.

Transfer ownership

There is no in-app Transfer Ownership action today. If the current Owner is moving on:

  1. Make sure the new person is already an Admin in the organization (invite them and bump their role to Admin from /account/organization — see Inviting and removing members).
  2. Contact us and choose Billing / Subscription with the organization name and the new Owner's email so our team can reassign ownership in our records.

The subscription and all organization data remain with the organization through any ownership change.

Delete an organization

Deleting removes the organization and its members. Chats, library entries, and memories that individual members created in their own personal account are not affected — but anything scoped to the organization is removed.

  1. Before deleting, cancel the subscription in the Stripe billing portal so billing stops cleanly.
  2. Open Settings → Organizations and switch to the Settings sidebar item (or visit /account/organization/settings).
  3. In the Delete organization section, click Delete, read the warning, and confirm.

Who can do these actions

Only the current Owner can delete the organization. Admins and Members do not see the delete control.
