Bishop of Bomadi
Hyacinth Oroko Egbebo, M.S.P., was born on October 23, 1955, in Ogriagbene, in the Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State—an area formerly part of the Diocese of Warri and now part of the Apostolic Vicariate of Bomadi. After entering the Seminary of the Missionary Society of St. Paul (M.S.P.) in Iperu in 1982, he transferred the following year to the Society's seminary in Gwagwalada (Abuja) for his studies in philosophy and theology. He was ordained a priest of the Missionary Society of St. Paul on June 23, 1990. Following his ordination, he held the following positions: 1990–1992: Member of the formation team at the Missionary Society of St. Paul’s Minor Seminary in Iperu-Remo (Diocese of Ijebu-Ode); 1992–1994: Advanced studies in Ireland; 1995–2001: Director of formation at the Iperu-Remo seminary; 2001: Superior General of the Missionary Society of St. Paul (an institute of diocesan right, headquartered in the Archdiocese of Abuja); 2005–2006: President of the Conference of Major Superiors of Nigeria.
