Archbishop of Garoua
Faustin Ambassa Ndjodo, C.I.C.M., was born on July 26, 1964, in Ekouda, in what was then the Archdiocese of Yaoundé and now belongs to the Diocese of Obala. He obtained a Licentiate in Philosophy from the Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium. He was ordained a priest on July 26, 1997. Following his ordination, he held the following positions: 1997–2000: Parochial Vicar at Notre-Dame de la Paix in Diamaguène (Archdiocese of Dakar, Senegal) and Secretary of the C.I.C.M. District of Senegal; 1999–2000: Professor of Philosophy (Institut de Philosophie Saint Augustin, Dakar, Senegal); 2000–2001: Studies at the Institute of Religious Formation, Catholic Theological Union (Chicago, USA); 2001–2004: Professor of Philosophy (Institut de Philosophie Saint Joseph Mukasa, Yaoundé); 2002–2003: Parish Priest at Saint Pie X in Ngoya (Diocese of Obala); 2001–2003: Member of the C.I.C.M. Provincial Council; since 2004: Provincial Superior of the Scheutists (second term); since 2007: President of the Union of Major Superiors of Cameroon and Episcopal Vicar for Consecrated Life (Archdiocese of Yaoundé); he was also recently appointed President of the Conference of Major Superiors of Africa and Madagascar (C.O.S.M.A.M.).
