Prelate of Cafayate
Bishop Darío Rubén Quintana Muñiz, O.A.R., Prelate of Cafayate, was born on November 8, 1972, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires. He made his first profession on August 28, 1993. He was ordained a deacon on October 31, 1996. He was ordained a priest for the same institute on May 17, 1997. On November 5, 2019, he was appointed Titular Bishop of Bavagaliana and Auxiliary Bishop of Mar del Plata. He received episcopal ordination on December 28, 2019, at Mar del Plata, with Gabriel Antonio Mestre as principal consecrator and José Luís Azcona Hermoso and Antonio Marino as co-consecrators. On April 21, 2022, he was appointed Prelate of Cafayate. He was installed as Prelate of Cafayate on June 17, 2022. He is a member of Order of Augustinian Recollects.
