Archbishop of Košice
Bernard Bober is Archbishop of Košice, Slovakia. H.E. Msgr. Bernard Bober is Archbishop-Metropolitan of Košice. He was born on 3 November 1950 in Zbudské Dlhé. He was ordained a priest on 8 June 1974. From 1975 to 1978 he was chaplain in Humenné, Snina, and Zborov. From 1978 to 1990 he was administrator of the parish of Kecerovce. From 1990 to 1991 he was parish administrator and dean in Humenné. From 1991 he was vicar general of the Bishop's Office in Košice. On 28 December 1992, source date 28.12.1992, he was appointed bishop. He was ordained bishop on 30 January 1993 in Košice. His appointment as Archbishop of Košice was on 4 June 2010, and his canonical taking possession of the office of Archbishop of Košice was on 10 July 2010. From 10 October 2022 he has been president of the Conference of Bishops of Slovakia.
