Renauld de Dinechin was born in Lille on March 25, 1958. After obtaining the *Brevet de Technicien Supérieur* (Higher Technician Certificate), he entered the Seminary of Paris and pursued ecclesiastical and theological studies in Brussels (Belgium) at the *Institut d’Études Théologiques*. He was ordained a priest on June 25, 1988, for the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Paris. He held the following positions and undertook further studies: Parochial Vicar at Immaculée Conception (1988–1995); Chaplain at the Paul Valéry public high school (1988–1995) and the Saint-Michel de Picpus Catholic school (1989–1995) in Paris; Assistant Director for the second cycle of the *Aumônerie de l’Enseignement Public* (Public Education Chaplaincy) (1992–1995); studies at the *Institut Notre-Dame de Vie*, undergoing formation in Vénasque (1995–1996); Diocesan Delegate for priestly and religious vocations (1996–2002); Director of the *Centre Vocations Île-de-France*; Delegate for the *Mission Étudiante* (Student Mission); Chaplain at the Sorbonne University; and staff member at Saint-Germain-des-Prés in Paris (1996–2003). He served at the Cathedral of Pontoise (2003–2004), was Parish Priest of *Bienheureux Frédéric Ozanam* in Cergy (Diocese of Pontoise) (2004–2008), and served as Dean of Cergy (2006–2008) for the *Fraternité Missionnaire des Prêtres pour la Ville*. He was appointed Titular Bishop of Macriana Minor and Auxiliary Bishop of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Paris on May 21, 2008, receiving episcopal ordination on September 5 of that year. On October 30, 2015, he was transferred to the Diocese of Soissons, taking possession of the see on December 20, 2015. Renauld de Dinechin was born in Lille on March 25, 1958. He served as Deputy Director for the secondary level of the *Aumônerie de l’Enseignement Public* (Public Education Chaplaincy) from 1992 to 1995. In 1995–1996, he joined the Notre-Dame de Vie Institute and underwent formation in Vénasque. Subsequently, he served as the diocesan delegate for priestly and religious vocations (1996–2002), Director of the Île-de-France Vocations Center, delegate for the *Mission Etudiante* (Student Mission), chaplain at the Sorbonne University, and was assigned to the Saint-Germain-des-Prés parish in Paris (1996–2003). As part of the *Fraternité des Prêtres pour la Ville* (Fraternity of Priests for the City), he served at the Cathedral of Pontoise (2003–2004), then as pastor of the Blessed Frédéric Ozanam parish in Cergy (Diocese of Pontoise) (2004–2008) and Dean of Cergy (2006–2008). He was appointed Titular Bishop of Macrina Minor and Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Paris on May 21, 2008, and received episcopal ordination on September 5, 2008. He serves as Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Paris. Within the French Episcopal Conference, he is a member of the Commission for the Universal Mission of the Church and is responsible for pastoral care for migrants.
