Archbishop of Rimouski
Father Denis Grondin Jr. was born in Rimouski (Quebec) on October 23, 1954. He was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Quebec on May 21, 1989, and carried out his pastoral ministry as an associate pastor in various parishes of the archdiocese while simultaneously serving as pastoral animator at the Sacré-Coeur and Marie-Dominique schools (C.S. Chûtes-de-la-Chaudière) in Saint-Romuald. In 1999, he was appointed administrator of the Notre-Dame-de-l’Espérance parish, and from 2001 to 2007, he was a member of the *in solidum* pastoral team serving the parishes of Sacré-Coeur-de-Jésus (Point-au-Pic), Notre-Dame-des-Monts, Saint-Etienne (La Malbaie), Saint-Irénée (Cap-à-l’Aigle), Saint-Raphaël (Clermont), Saint-Philippe, Sainte-Agnès, and Saint-Aimé-des-Lacs. In 2005, he was appointed pastoral animator at the Charlevoix Health and Social Services Centre—with the La Malbaie Hospital added to his responsibilities in 2009—and from 2007 to 2011, he led the parish of Saint-Siméon. He is currently the pastor of ten parishes in the Charlevoix region of the Archdiocese of Quebec.
