Bishop of Sangmélima
Christophe Zoa was born on June 10, 1961, in Yaoundé. He pursued his studies in philosophy and theology in his home country at the Nkolbison Major Seminary and subsequently at the Catholic University of Yaoundé, where he obtained a Licentiate in Canon Law. He also holds a Doctorate in Canon Law from the Catholic Institute of Paris. He was ordained a priest on June 15, 1991, and incardinated into the Archdiocese of Yaoundé. Following his ordination, he held the following positions: 1991–1992: Parochial Vicar; 1992–2000: Parish Priest in various parishes; 1994–1997: Studies for the Licentiate in Canon Law in Yaoundé; 2001–2005: Studies for the Doctorate in Canon Law at the Catholic Institute of Paris. He has served as Chancellor of the Archdiocese since 2005.
